Zitong (紫瞳, Zǐtóng) is a character in Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf. In Martial World Rescue, Zitong is a vendor who sets up a stall at the vegetable market and delivers ordered vegetables.
Appearance[]
Zitong has medium-length purple hair, with bangs covering his eyes. A section of his hair is tied up with a golden hair tie. He has blue-purple skin and a beard. He wears a blue apron, a dark blue scarf, arm sleeves, and pants.
Personality[]
He has a timid personality, believing that the best way to cope with bullying is to endure it; he thinks that resisting will only lead to greater trouble. However, he is kind-hearted and sometimes helps others without considering the consequences, such as assisting Sparky in opening the back door of the Dreamy Manor.
Past[]
As shown in “Triumphs of Youth Fade Like a Dream” (episode 32), Zitong was the captain of Martial Alliance Guards in the past. He admitted it in “In the Dense Fog, Truth is Hard to Discern” (episode 41). At that time, he led the team to eliminate the Zhenfa Sect, but the impulsiveness of the Martial Alliance led to a massacre. As a commander of the Martial Alliance Guards, he couldn’t issue a stop order due to the Elder’s command. Afterward, he could not face everything that had happened and chose to leave the Martial Alliance, living in obscurity. It was only after reading the farewell letter from the leader of the Jiguan Sect that he learned everything was a trap.
Ability[]
Zitong has extremely high levels in all abilities on his panel, except for a very low Qili. The symbol beneath his name is the same as that of Tiemian, which is different from the symbols of other sects and the Martial Alliance.

Zǐ (紫) means “purple”; tóng (瞳) means “pupil”.
Trivia[]
On January 24, 2025, in the Taobao livestream, when discussing the “Martial World Rescue” acrylic stand blind bag, it was mentioned that Tiemian has one eye continuously covered, and when uncovered, it reveals a purple eye, which is heterochromia and “has a story behind it.” Zitong’s eye is purple, but after Zitong saves Tiemian, one eye is covered, and the other becomes a heterochromia, indicating “there’s a story there,” though they refrained from elaborating due to concerns about censorship.
In the Douyin livestream on the same day, the official commentary regarding Zitong and Tiemian’s eyes indicated that they couldn’t clarify the matter fully and encouraged viewers to guess the related Easter egg. During the stream, comments appeared suggesting that Zitong gave his eye to Tiemian, or that Zitong used all his Qili to save Tiemian, to which they confirmed that the viewers’ guesses were correct, and they had not encountered any other speculative direction.
