Wolnie (红太狼, Hóng Tàiláng) is one of the primary antagonists of the Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf series and Wolffy’s wife.
Appearance[]
Wolnie is a wolf who wears a golden crown and a red vest. She has a purple eyeshadow and red lips.
Personality[]
Wolnie is the wife of Wolffy and often loses her temper at him, usually hitting him with a frying pan for inevitably failing to capture the goats for them to eat. Despite her tendency to get mad at him, Wolnie genuinely cares for her husband. The two also have a son named Wilie, and five other unnamed kids.
In later seasons, Wolnie treats her husband far better than she used to, never hitting him or arguing with him at all.

Etymology[]
Hóng (红) means “red,” Tài (太) is often used to denote “big” or “great,” and Láng (狼) means “wolf.” Together, Hóng Tàiláng can mean “Red Big Wolf.”
The name Tàiláng (太狼) is also a pun on the common Japanese male name “Taro” (太郎, Tarō, or Tàiláng in Mandarin), a traditional Japanese name often given to the eldest son.
