Trivia[]

  • The title of this episode is a reference to the poem To the Tune of Nanxiangzi: Climbing Beigu Pavilion at Jingkou with Sentiments (《南乡子·登京口北固亭有怀》, «Nánxiāngzǐ · Dēng Jīngkǒu Běigù Tíng Yǒu Huái») by Xin Qiji, a poet from the Southern Song dynasty. The full line reads, “Among heroes of the world, who can be his worthy opponent? Just Cao Cao and Liu Bei.” This is originally meant to praise Sun Quan for his remarkable achievements at a young age. In this episode, it carries a dual significance: on one hand, it refers to the protagonist group, the various sects of the Lingxi Kingdom, and the Martial Alliance all vying for Weslie; on the other hand, it signifies that no one else can be Hanguang’s worthy opponent, as only Beiming is his equal.
  何处望神州?满眼风光北固楼。千古兴亡多少事?悠悠。不尽长江滚滚流。 年少万兜鍪,坐断东南战未休。天下英雄谁敌手?曹刘。生子当如孙仲谋。
