Tiemian (铁面, Tiěmiàn) is a character in Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf. In Martial World Rescue, Tiemian serves as the captain of the Martial Alliance Guards and later becomes an elder of the alliance.
Appearance[]
Tiemian has grey hair and white fur. His face is partially covered by an iron mask that obscures one eye. His visible eye is golden-yellow, contrasting with the purple heterochromatic eye revealed when the mask is removed. He wears a silver armored uniform with deep blue collar and logan shawl cloak, symbolizing his authority as the captain of the Martial Alliance Guard. He wears a blue hat with gold edges and a crimson sash and blue boot with white tips. There is an alliance’s emblem girded around the waist.
Personality[]
Tiemian embodies stern justice, strictly adhering to rules and institutional order, and being perceived as rigid.
However, when Zitong is still the captain and his master, he disregards everything for a case, such as ignoring orders and even his well-being to guard crucial evidence.
Past[]
Tiemian was a disciple of Zitong. When Zitong was still a captain, he often taught Tiemian that the most important thing for a Martial Alliance Guard was to obey orders, which shaped Tiemian’s way of doing things. After the incident at the Zhenfa Sect, Zitong, seeing Tiemian severely injured, felt responsible for what had happened and began to doubt the rigid rules he had always adhered to. He left a letter and departed from the Martial Alliance. Puzzled by this, Tiemian, after becoming a captain, held even more firmly to these principles.
Ability[]
The levels of strength, Qili, agility, intelligence, and resilience are roughly comparable. On the card, he scores 7 out of 9 in intelligence and 6 out of 9 in other attributes. His weapon mastery includes a signature spear imbued with thunder-based Qili.
The symbol beneath his name is the same as that of Zitong, which is different from the symbols of other sects and the Martial Alliance.

- In “Beneath Tiemian’s Iron Mask Lies His True Heart” (Martial World Rescue, episode 37), Tiemian in the title means both him and his impartial personality.
- On January 24, 2025, in the Taobao livestream, when discussing the “Martial World Rescue” acrylic stand blind bag, it was mentioned that Tiemian has one eye continuously covered, and when uncovered, it reveals a purple eye, which is heterochromia and “has a story behind it.” Zitong’s eye is purple, but after Zitong saves Tiemian, one eye is covered, and the other becomes heterochromia, indicating “there’s a story there,” though they refrained from elaborating due to concerns about censorship.
- In the Douyin livestream on the same day, the official commentary regarding Zitong and Tiemian’s eyes indicated that they couldn’t clarify the matter fully and encouraged viewers to guess the related Easter egg. During the stream, comments appeared suggesting that Zitong gave his eye to Tiemian, or that Zitong used all his Qili to save Tiemian, to which they confirmed that the viewers’ guesses were correct, and they had not encountered any other speculative direction.
- According to the Douyin livestream, Tiemian was originally intended to be a leopard. However, since they think that their art designer drew the horse so perfectly. Therefore, they changed him to a horse.
