The Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf series has made 9 movies since 2009. From 2009 to 2015, an animated movie that features the Chinese zodiac of that year would be released in the winter.

In 2012 and 2013, the series released two live-action animated movies in summer.

These movies get a total box office of over 940 million yuan in Chinese mainland.

It is announced officially that the next movie will be released in 2022.
