The letter mentioned that when the Jiguan Sect Chief wrote it, he was already near death and wanted to record the truth behind the destruction of the Zhenfa Sect. Gui Qulai, upon hearing this, was shocked and furious about the destruction of the Zhenfa Sect, while Zitong noted the Sect Chief’s impending demise.
Back then, the Zhenfa Sect had sheltered Beiming. As a result, the Martial Alliance called upon those with ambition to hold the Zhenfa Sect accountable. The former chief of the Zhenfa Sect denied the allegations, but the Jiguan Sect insisted that the Zhenfa Sect conspired with Beiming to divide the Qilin Cauldron. They demanded the surrender of Beiming and the Qilin Cauldron, or they would raze the Zhenfa Sect. However, Beiming had already left by that time. The Martial Alliance’s guards stepped forward, demanding a clear explanation from the Zhenfa Sect. The disciples of the Zhenfa Sect pushed back against the guards, which was interpreted as an attack on the Jiguan Sect and the Martial Alliance. The Jiguan Sect Chief ordered the elimination of the Zhenfa Sect, and his disciples attacked. The disciples of the Zhenfa Sect activated their defensive Zhenfa. The Jiguan Sect Chief attacked the chief of the Zhenfa Sect, demanding the Zhenfa Compendium, revealing that it was all about the compendium. The Jiguan Sect Chief threatened his life, but the master of the Zhenfa Sect refused. The Jiguan Sect Chief fired a signal cannon, and his disciples launched projectiles, causing the Zhenfa Sect to collapse. The master of the Zhenfa Sect was also defeated, and the Zhenfa Compendium was seized.
Gui Qulai was stunned and hated that the Martial Alliance led this, unwilling to believe that his master colluded with Beiming. Wolffy urged him not to be agitated, stating that it was only one side of the story from the Jiguan Sect Chief and not necessarily true. However, Zitong suddenly affirmed the truth of the matter, acknowledging that the Martial Alliance had indeed led the charge and that the chief of the Zhenfa Sect had protected Beiming, shocking everyone. Wolffy was confused about how Zitong could speak as if he were there, and he admitted that he was the captain of the guards back then. --- At that time, he went to the Zhenfa Sect, unwilling to resort to violence. When his disciple, Tiemian, asked if they needed to take anyone captive, he hoped to avoid escalating the conflict. The situation spiraled out of control, and he didn’t know how to resolve it. Suddenly, someone attacked Zitong, and a guard yelled, “Dare to attack our captain!” leading the other guards to start attacking. Zitong tried to urge them not to act impulsively but failed. He saw projectiles being launched and rushed forward to assess the situation, only to find Tiemian injured and unconscious. Heartbroken, he could only let out a mournful cry to the heavens…
Gui Qulai, upon hearing Zitong’s words, resented him for not stopping it at that time. As the captain, Zitong could have ordered everyone to halt and prevented the tragedy. Zitong replied that he didn’t know what to do, as it was a fact that the Zhenfa Sect was colluding with Beiming, and the order to attack the Zhenfa Sect came from the elders of the Martial Alliance, which he could only execute. Gui Qulai didn’t believe it; the Zhenfa Sect had always been uninvolved in worldly affairs, and its master was upright and respected, never capable of wrongdoing. He had lived in pain since the destruction of the Zhenfa Sect and the death of his master, hiding his identity and barely surviving. Zitong apologized, stating that he could not face it all afterward, leaving the Martial Alliance to hide his identity, trying to forget this painful past. Gui Qulai found it laughable, accusing him of merely evading responsibility and being a coward. Wolffy and Sparky held Gui Qulai back, urging him not to get agitated. Wolffy noted that the Jiguan Sect Chief mentioned he was nearing death, speculating that he had likely already passed away. Sparky understood why the Jiguan Sect had disappeared for so many years and they were curious about what happened afterward.
The Jiguan Sect Chief obtained the Zhenfa Compendium to complete his mission and handed it over to Da Dangjia, questioning why “that person” needed to create such a fuss. It turned out that one of their goals was to incite the major sects to fight among themselves to hand over the Zhenfa Compendium. He realized there was an ambush, and at that moment, he woke up to the fact that they had intended to dismantle the bridge after crossing it, not allowing him to leave. Da Dangjia threatened him to hand it over. He attempted to escape, but trees were cut down, blocking his path. He fought against the masked men and Da Dangjia, but several masked men stabbed at him. He blocked one but couldn’t defend against the subsequent attack, getting injured. He set up traps to cause trees to collapse, allowing him to escape back to the Jiguan Sect. However, he was severely injured and near death. Unwilling to let the truth be buried, he wrote a farewell letter, hoping that if anyone read it in the future, they could expose the masterminds and bring them to justice.
Wolffy was furious, realizing that an entire sect was eradicated for a single compendium, amazed at the ruthlessness of the mastermind. Zitong now understood that everything was a trap, and he had become an accomplice, while Gui Qulai mocked the so-called “justice” of the Martial Alliance. Suddenly, the ruins of the Jiguan Sect were about to collapse, and Wolffy suggested they escape first. Er Dangjia noticed them fleeing, while Da Dangjia saw the Zhenfa Compendium in their hands and launched a pursuit. A fallen wall blocked their path, and Da Dangjia, wanting the compendium, attacked them without hesitation, creating a secret passage. Wolffy expressed gratitude to them, but Da Dangjia was furious, and the Jiguan Automaton was in pursuit. Er Dangjia valiantly tried to block the way but was buried under the collapse.
Meanwhile, Slowy, Wolnie, and Wilie went to find the king of the Qimao Kingdom. The king thought they were there for fun and prepared fine guest rooms for them. Slowy explained that they weren’t there for fun but to seek news about Wolffy. The king said they had been sending letters and asked Mingri to bring the letters, as they had piled up a whole cart’s worth, making it difficult for Mingri transport with the queen. Wilie was very happy, while Slowy and Wolnie studied the letters seriously.
Haoyue and Prince Li were on the run, chased by a snake and the Martial Alliance Guards. They successfully escaped the borders, but a guard with a bow suddenly shot an arrow, knocking Haoyue unconscious. Another arrow caused Haoyue and Prince Li to fall off a cliff. A guard cursed them for not heeding the elder’s order to return safely and wanted to find out who the murderer was.
