Huang Tailang (黄太狼, Huáng Tàiláng, literally “Yellow Wolf”) is a character in Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf. He is Wolffy’s grandpa.
Etymology[]
Huáng (黄) means “yellow,” Tài (太) is often used to denote “big” or “great,” and Láng (狼) means “wolf.” Together, Huáng Tàiláng can mean “Yellow Big Wolf.” The name Tàiláng (太狼) is also a pun on the common Japanese male name “Tarō.”
