Elder Beetle (甲虫长老, Jiǎchóng zhǎnglǎo), referred to as Professor Beetle (甲导师, Jiǎ Dǎoshī), is a character introduced in Marching to the New Wonderland.
Personality[]
Elder Beetle has lived on the Big Tree the longest and knows the entire history of the microcosm, making him a highly respected elder in the microcosm. Elder Beetle is omniscient about the microcosm, both kind and knowledgeable. He often resolves difficult issues for the insects and is greatly respected by them. Whenever something happens in the microcosm, the little goats always turn to him, and Elder Beetle always manages to clear up their doubts.
However, Professor Beetle’s vast knowledge is mostly theoretical, and his ability to handle practical problems is not as strong as Slowy’s. Additionally, Elder Beetle can sometimes be long-winded and boastful, with the demeanor of an old rascal. He often inexplicably teams up with the little goats to deal with Wolffy.
He is the Guardian of the Earth Soul.
