Etymology[]

Bù (咘) is a rare Chinese character that is only used in historical transliterations, and doesn’t appear frequently in modern language.

Xǐ (喜) means “joyful,” “happy,” or “to like,” which is also the first character of Weslie’s Chinese name Xǐ Yángyáng (喜羊羊).

  • A line spoken by Wolffy suggests Eastie’s name is associated with various wordplay across the Mandarin, Cantonese, and English versions, all of which imply that Eastie is not getting along with Weslie.
