The Dimension Gem (时空宝石, Shíkōng Bǎoshí) is a gem that appears in Rescue Across Time, located in the extreme ice region.
Description[]
Situated within the Ice Pole ruins, the gem is supported by an ice staircase within the ruins, embodying the principle of “stabilizing time and replacing the sun and moon.” Inside the Dimension Gem lies the Timespace Tunnel, controlled by the Timespace Transfer Station.
Mechanics[]
- The Dimension Gem chooses TaoTao and DouDou as its guardians. DouDou patrols the Timespace Tunnel to maintain temporal order, while TaoTao is stationed at the Transfer Station to handle time-space separation.
- Every day, a new timeline is created. Once a new timeline emerges, there are 60 seconds to separate them. If the timelines are not separated within 60 seconds, they will merge, causing a catastrophic disaster.
- If the Dimension Gem is damaged, it first generates a rapidly spreading wave that affects the time system of the current world. Subsequently, numerous time-space rifts form, randomly transporting anachronists. The ruins' pointer will begin counting down—if all the Time-Space Wanderers are not returned to their correct timelines before the pointer completes a full rotation, the Dimension Gem will shatter completely, leading to a total reset of time and space, reverting everything to a vast ocean.
- Due to certain mechanisms, the Dimension Gem cannot be destroyed by its own guardians.
History[]
In Rescue Across Time[]
- In “Found the Ruins, Weslie Was in Trouble” (Rescue Across Time, episode 1), Weslie fell into a trap and destroyed the Dimension Gem, resulting in temporal chaos.
- In “End of the World” (episode 59), the Dimension Gem was completely shattered, leading to a reset of time and space.
- In “The End” (episode 60), Tao Tao and Dou Dou transformed into pointers, and with everyone’s help, they reversed time, restoring the Dimension Gem.
