Episode[]
The goats in the dining room, about to eat the dinner that Mr. Slowy has prepared. Slowy hopes that the goats will enjoy his cooking, and later he notices that Tibbie hasn’t eaten much and asks why. Weslie cuts in when Tibbie responds, saying Slowy should use grass from the east side of the village next time, and Sparky adds he should also use the cucumbers from the west side. Paddi agrees with them, and Slowy gets angry.
Later that night, Sparky is wondering why Slowy called them back to the canteen. Weslie hopes it’s because he made another feast for them, and Paddi pops up out of nowhere and gets excited. All the goat kids are ready to eat, but are shocked when they discover their food is brown and looks unappetizing, and even worse that Slowy intends for them to eat it for the next few days. Slowy asserts that he expects the goats to eat it since it’s what they ordered, but Sparky has trouble sticking it to his fork and even Paddi doesn’t want to try it. Slowy still expects them to eat it and takes a bite from his own plate to prove his point that if he can eat it, so can they, only to have a bit of a problem actually swallowing it.
The goats break into the food supply house expecting to find something to eat, but realize it’s empty and have it explained to them by Slowy that he gave all the food away to another village. Paddi is inexplicably ecstatic, though, and Sparky asks why. Paddi is happy not because of the food being given away, but because he’s found some food. However, he refuses to say where he found the food at first, only deciding otherwise when Sparky apologizes for being rude earlier.
The goats follow Paddi to a small shack that is filled with all sorts of snacks, and the goats start to dig in before Weslie stops them, thinking it would be a good idea to store them for later in case Mr. Slowy finds out and gives them away to another village as well. The goats place the snacks in a wagon and roll it away; then, Slowy approaches the shack, wanting to eat something from his stash of snacks since the food from earlier gave him a stomach ache. He is surprised to find all the snacks are gone and spots goat footprints on the ground, then makes a run to get the snacks back from the other goats. He suddenly stops, though, and mentions the goats can’t find out those are his snacks. He sees a couple of mice making off with a watermelon, grabs binoculars, and finds a field with watermelons growing in it.
The mice couple are in Slowy’s bedroom in front of the window when they hear Slowy’s voice saying “Come back later, I’m asleep” and hurry outside. There is a hole in the ground that leads to Slowy, who dug it to the melon field and searches for the rest of that night for the perfect watermelon. He decides on a big one and makes off with it; the next day, the farmer who owns the field turns out to be Wolffy, who is livid that his melon field is ruined and sets up a tower surrounded by dummies holding guns as well as a barbed fence.
The following night, Slowy comes back to steal another watermelon. This time, however, he walks through a security laser and sets off the armed dummies, who shoot him numerous times, followed by a missile launched from Wolf Fortress and sent directly at him. A spotlight lights from the tower and searches the area, and Wolffy grabs a gun and goes to see who it is. It dawns on him that it’s Slowy and is happy that one of the goats has dropped by.
The goat children are outside eating some of the snacks they took. Tibbie wonders if Slowy is okay on food, and they all go to the elder’s house to investigate, only to discover that the real Slowy isn’t there and he had set up a robot dummy of himself that keeps saying “Come back later, I’m asleep” in his place. The goats spot the hole Slowy dug and go to the melon field on the other side, where Weslie finds Slowy’s walking stick and the other goats take a look. They all realize Slowy’s been captured by Wolffy and panic.
Meanwhile, at Wolf Fortress, Mr. Slowy is stuck to a wooden board, and Wolffy is heating up his cauldron when Wolnie tells him to hurry up so that he can cook the goat. Wolffy reminds her that he’s finally caught a goat and that’s what matters most, but Wolnie didn’t want an elderly goat and would rather have something younger and more tender. Weslie and Sparky, who were peeking through the window, come up with the idea to pretend to be wolves who have captured a goat (actually the robot dummy of Mr. Slowy). Wolffy is at a loss about what to do about their goat, and Wolnie thinks that stealing it from them is the best option, so he runs with that.
Wolffy approaches the fake wolves and questions whether they will give him their goat, explaining the deal with his wife wanting to eat younger goats to them. The “wolves” are reluctant at first, but let Wolffy have a small piece of it. Wolffy shows his wife the piece of the goat the “wolves” gave him, and Wolnie tries to eat it, but she throws up and hits Wolffy with a frying pan over it. Back at the canteen, the goats are about to be served dinner by Mr. Slowy, but are immediately disappointed upon learning it’s tree bark.
