All-Asian Satellite Television and Radio Operator, shorten as Astro, is a Malaysian satellite television, streaming television and IPTV provider. Astro distributes several Pleasant Goat seasons in Malaysia, available on the television stations Astro Xiao Tai Yang and Astro AEC, and the streaming service Astro GO.
Astro Xiao Tai Yang was a 24-hour channel targeting Mandarin speaking children aged 4–12 years old, providing educational and entertaining programmes. The channel line up consists of preschool learning, animation, music, science and arts.
Astro Xiao Tai Yang was available for free-to-view on Astro and NJOI customers in Malaysia on Channel 344. On 22 November 2019, the HD feed of the channel was launched and replaced the former old SD feed of the channel.
Its channel number was 325 since its launch but before being replaced to 344 in 2020.
On September 4, 2023, Astro Xiao Tai Yang turned into a video on demand service and some programs turn to airing on Astro AEC (Channel 346). Astro Xiao Tai Yang as a channel no longer exists.
Astro also launched a streaming service called Astro GO.
Relations with Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf[]
At early years, the original donghua was aired on Astro AEC.
Despite the original donghua does not airing in the show until August 23, 2021, Pleasant Goat Fun Class: Animals & Plants begins it’s first air Astro Xiao Tai Yang, marking that this season was the finally the first time that the series officially debuted on Malaysian televisions rather than iflix. With the airing on Astro Xiao Tao Yang every Monday to Friday at 10:15AM, and reruns after the premiere of the episode at 4:45 PM and 8:45 PM. The show ended on September 27, 2021.
On October 15, 2021, Pleasant Goat Fun Class: Sports Are Fun were also aired on the channel in the same schedule as the Animals and Plants season did.
On September 22, 2021, Mighty Goat Squad started to air on Astro Xiao Tai Yang, with the airing on Astro Xiao Tao Yang every Monday to Friday at 10 AM, and reruns after the premiere of the episode at 4:30PM and 8:30PM. The second season airs after the first season at October 28, 2021. The show ended at January 7th, 2022 before it is replaced by Kiki and Nuna in the next week.
On January 22, 2023, Dunk for Future aired as part of Chinese New Year program, with added Malay subtitles you can choose at the language section.
On February 10, 2023, Pleasant Goat Fun Class: The Earth Carnival started to air on Astro Xiao Tai Yang every Friday 11:00 am.
On September 4, 2023, Dunk for Victories started to air on Astro AEC every Monday and Tuesday 10:45 am.
On September 6, 2023, Pleasant Goat Fun Class: Travel Around the World started to air on Astro AEC every Wednesday and Thursday 10:30 am.
